| Harrington Mill Studios is calling for proposals from creative curators working in, or originating from, the East Midlands who would like the opportunity of a space in which to realise a project during a one month long residency. Harrington Mill Studios in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, is offering a rent-free space for a residency to take place from 1st to 31st October 2007. The curator in residence will produce a contemporary art exhibition or happening to be showcased at an open-studios event taking place at Harrington Mill Studios on the weekend of 27th - 28th as part of OctoberFest. Harrington Mill Studios welcomes proposals for projects that involve some form of collaboration, bringing together more than one arts practitioner or participant under any theme and working process. We are interested in and open to the various ways in which a curator will interpret and explore this stipulation. OctoberFest is a contemporary art festival organised by NCAN (Nottingham Contemporary Art Network) featuring independent artists and studio groups participating throughout Nottingham.
