This year Justine Nettleton will be participating as one of the Visual Artists on the Trails weekend at Wirksworth Festival 10th-11th September. The whole town becomes a gallery with more than 170 artists and makers showing their work in private homes, historic building, gardens, shop windows and churches. Paul’s recent paintings recast familiar suburban scenes into dreamlike acid colour dominated by a pink light. Since studying at Falmouth & Birmingham art schools Paul has gone onto work as a lecturer in Fine Art at Warwickshire College.

Anna Francis is a Fine Arts Practitioner and Lecturer in BA Fine Art at Staffordshire University. Her current research interests include the role of art and culture in urban regeneration, and investigation into private space in the public forum.

During her residency, Francis will deliver WLTM - a dating agency for works of art.

Workshop with Justice for Carers @ HMS
A workshop with HMS artists where the Justice for Carers' group learned different techniques in water colours and modelling clay figures.
Lottery Funding For Refurbishment - August 2007
HMS was awarded £5000 funding towards refurbishment by the Arts Council. This was a significant contribution towards upgrading the electrics, including emergency lighting.
